Designing and developing the new digital stage for WA’s leading creative voices.

Building a hub that reflects the people and industry we represent.
Since 1980, the Perth Advertising and Design Club (PADC) has represented and championed Western Australia’s creative talent. Closely aligned with that purpose, we were particularly excited to reimagine their online presence with a new website that reflects PADC’s role as the state’s creative hub.
The previous site no longer matched the pace or ambition of WA’s creative community. It struggled to capture the energy of the Skull Awards, made membership pathways unclear, and left PADC’s wider role underrepresented. Preparing for a new digital era, we built the site on a flexible CMS with a streamlined membership sign-up and renewal process, adapting PADC’s refreshed design system to spotlight awards, events, and sponsorships. An interactive header was also introduced across key pages, where contributor feature images drop in response to mouse movement, bringing the community to life front and centre.
The site now gives PADC a platform equal to its reputation. One that honours its history while providing the tools to grow membership, expand events, and showcase WA’s creative talent on a bigger stage.
Inconsistent digital presence
PADC’s old platform lacked a cohesive design system. Visual identity and messaging varied across pages and campaigns, weakening the overall brand.
Unified brand and design system
We introduced consistent brand elements across the site to ensure cohesion and strengthen PADC’s brand identity inline with their other channels.
Limited engagement with younger audiences
The previous website struggled to connect with emerging creatives. Content, layout, and functionality felt outdated and uninviting.
Youth-focused engagement tools
We developed digital content and interactive features, including a responsive homepage header, to make the site more engaging and relevant to new audiences.
Outdated entry and judging systems
Event submissions and judging relied on manual processes, creating inefficiencies for organisers and poor usability for members.
Streamlined submission and membership platform
We implemented a custom Memberpress form with automated reminders, user-friendly dashboards, and integrated judging tools to simplify participation.
Lack of clear narrative
The old platform did not effectively tell PADC’s story, leaving its history, role, and community impact underrepresented.
Stronger storytelling and identity
We reframed digital touchpoints using bold copy, editorial content, and layered design to communicate PADC’s past, present, and future vision.
Slow and unreliable performance
The site’s content-heavy design caused slow load times and poor user experience, especially during peak traffic.
Bespoke hosting and optimisation
We reduced content weight and introduced a bespoke Virtual Private Server (VPS) solution, ensuring reliable performance and a smoother experience for all users.
