Crafting social stories for Perth's beloved Miss Chow's Group.
Refining a family legacy.
Behind Miss Chow’s Group stands ‘Dumpling Queen’ Jacquie Chan, who has transformed her family’s culinary heritage into a thriving hospitality collective. When Jacquie approached us for creative direction across four venues – Miss Chow’s, Moon & Mary, Lucy Luu’s, and Lena’s Bar – we saw an opportunity to tell a story of innovation and tradition.
Each venue needed its own voice whilst maintaining their shared heritage. We refreshed Miss Chow’s South Perth with new typography, creative direction and photography capturing their premium waterfront dining. For Lucy Luu’s, we developed bold cut-out graphics complementing their Kill Bill-inspired interiors, using playful photography to bring their fusion cuisine to life.
At Moon & Mary, we built anticipation around their three-venue concept within Fremantle’s historic lockup. Our pre-launch campaign showcased each space – modern Asian restaurant, distillery and beer garden. Post-launch, we collaborated with Fremantle Prison for an immersive heritage event.
For Lena’s Bar, we captured the venue’s dynamic day-to-night character, speaking to corporate lunch crowds and cocktail enthusiasts alike. Our copywriting created distinctive brand voices whilst maintaining the group’s warmth and authenticity.
Working closely with Jacquie, we’ve helped transform Miss Chow’s Group’s brand, with each venue contributing to the larger narrative of this family-owned collective reshaping Perth’s dining scene.
